Welcome!

What's New

We at Hebbronville I.S.D. plan to create a learning community.  By working in groups to improve instruction, teachers are able to develop a shared language describing and analyzing classroom teaching and to teach each other about their capabilities. We all know that the classroom is the critical point of leverage in a school system.  What happens in the classroom affects each child, the teacher, their families, and the local community.  It is our hope that by intergrating technology in the classroom will encourage each student to learn more and more.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

(ISSUES)- Four over arching issues emerged from the meetings and surveys: Technology-bases instruction, information and communication system are essential for serving students, supporting the teachers, and effectively carrying out adminstrative tasks.  The staff is generally aware of available technology and is supportive of its integration into the instructional delivery system, but they are not trained sufficiently for optimizing the use of technology in the classroom.

(Recommendations)

The District will:
  • Support the use of technology to augment and enhance every learning situation

  • Commit to staff development and operational support for technology
  • Have a comprehensive plan concerning the funding of technology

(Benefits)
